  5. Kitchen Assistant/2 is a recipe management program for OS/2.  Kitchen
  6. Assistant/2 provides the ability to search for recipes based on word(s) in
  7. the title, Group, or ingredient fields.  Advance search logic available 
  8. for complex searches.  Multiple recipe databases can be maintained. 
  9. Meal-Master recipe can be imported.

  11. This file contains important information to help you get the most from
  12. Kitchen Assistant/2. Please read the information provided below before
  13. using the program.

  16. Kitchen Assistant/2 is a copyrighted program.  It is not public domain or
  17. free software.  A limited license is granted for the purpose of determining
  18. suitability of the program.  Registration is required for any use beyond a
  19. 30 day evaluation period.  Unregistered copies of this program may be
  20. distributed providing that all the materials in this package are included
  21. in an unaltered form.  Copies may not be sold or fees charged for more 
  22. than the cost of the media without permission of the author.

  39. Kitchen Assistant/2 is distributed as "Shareware". Shareware is not free
  40. software. It is a distribution to allow you to "try before you buy".  If
  41. you received Kitchen Assistant/2 from shareware distribution service, any
  42. fees you may have paid was for their service and materials only, and does
  43. not provide any compensation to the  author of Kitchen Assistant/2.  After
  44. evaluation, you are legally required to register the Kitchen Assistant/2
  45. program you have with the author if you decide to continue to use it.

  47. When registering Kitchen Assistant/2, you will also receive a personal
  48. registration number for the program, which can be used to register your

  54.   NEW INSTALLATION
  55.   ----------------
  56. To install Kitchen Assistant/2, unzip the kitchen.zip file into a the
  57. directory you want the program to be installed in or a temporary directory
  58. and execute the following command:
  59.  
  60.      INSTALL.CMD DirectoryPath <cr>
  61.         Where: DirectoryPath is the Drive and path to the directory
  62.                where you want the program to be installed in.
  63.  
  64. You will be prompted if the directory path is correct.  If the directory
  65. does not exist, it will be created.  When the path is correct, the program
  66. will be installed.  A program reference object will be generated for
  67. Kitchen Assistant/2 on your desktop.

  69.   UPGRADING
  70.   ---------
  71. If you are upgrading from a previous Kitchen Assistant/2 release, unzip the
  72. kitchen.zip file into a the directory where your previous version was located.
  73.  
  74. When you startup KA/2, if a INI file is not found, one will be created with 
  75. default settings.

  77.   ENTERING YOUR REGISTRATION INFORMATION
  78.   --------------------------------------
  79. If you have registered Kitchen Assistant/2 will have to enter the
  80. registration name, Serial number, and registration number into the 
  81. program.

  83. To do this start up Kitchen Assistant/2 by entering KITCHEN.EXE or click 
  84. on the program object.  When the Product Information Screen is displayed,
  85. Press the Register button.  You can also open the Product Information
  86. window by doing the following:
  87. Select the Help item in the menu bar, then select Product Information, and
  88. then press the Register button.

  90. At this point enter the register name and registration number that was
  91. assigned to you.  Then press OK.

  108. For those of you that have read this far, I would like some input from you
  109. about which recipe formats would you like to see KA/2 be able to import.  
  110. Currently KA/2 will import Meal-Master.  I will be adding more, but I would
